A Filed Notice of Completion is crucial.

At the completion of a new construction project, remember to record a valid “Notice of Completion” with the County Register of Deeds.

The recording of a Notice of Completion triggers a statutory 30-day time period for contractors to record a mechanics liens against your property. Your permanent loan closing could be delayed if you forget to do this.
